SolomonEdwards, a Philadelphia-headquartered business consulting firm, has acquired CFO’s Domain, a Los Angeles-based consulting and recruiting firm focusing on office of the CFO advisory services.

Founded in 2019, CFO’s Domain provides consulting, interim employee placement, and professional search services across accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, business intelligence and analytics, financial systems, IPO readiness, M&A and post-merger integration, restructuring, and project management.

The boutique consultancy works with clients in TMT, life sciences, consumer products, financial services, and healthcare.

CFO’s Domain has nine professionals listed on its website.

The acquired firm will continue to operate under its own structure before transitioning into SolomonEdwards’ existing office of the CFO solutions practice. Rahul Merani and Patrick Coggins, co-founders of CFO’s Domain, will join the SolomonEdwards leadership team.

The transaction will enhance SolomonEdwards’ CFO offering with further resources in finance transformation, FP&A, and M&A advisory, as well as add specialized recruiting capabilities.

“CFO’s Domain is a highly complementary addition that accelerates our strategy to build a scaled, differentiated Office of the CFO consulting platform,” said John Gulnac, CEO of SolomonEdwards. “Rahul, Patrick and their team bring deep finance transformation and FP&A expertise, a strong West Coast footprint and a reputation for producing quality outcomes. Together, we are expanding SolomonEdwards’ ability to deliver the specialized talent and advisory capabilities finance leaders need to navigate growth, transactions and change.”

The CFO’s Domain deal follows several acquisitions since SolomonEdwards became a portfolio company of Renovus Capital Partners in 2022. The private equity firm has since then bolted on Dominion Advisory Group, Steele Consulting, and Pencek Advisors.

“SolomonEdwards shares our commitment to delivering practical, high-impact solutions to CFOs and finance teams,” said Merani. “By joining forces, we can offer our clients a broader suite of services and a deeper bench of expertise while preserving the hands-on consulting model that has defined CFO’s Domain.”

Founded in 1999, SolomonEdwards provides financial, operational, and technology consulting to clients in a range of industries. The firm has practices in accounting and finance operations, business transformation, corporate tax services, data solutions, technology enablement, private equity services, professional search, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).

SolomonEdwards has over 850 employees listed on LinkedIn and offices in Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco.
