Maine Pointe CEO Steven Bowen recognized by CEO Today Magazine
Steven Bowen, founder and CEO of global supply chain and operations consultancy Maine Pointe, has been recognized with a 2019 Management Consulting Award from CEO Today Magazine.
The award from CEO Today identifies strong, innovative leadership within the management consulting industry.
“At CEO Today, we are immensely proud to be able to recognize and honor those who operate in this pivotal industry and whose hard work, ingenuity and passion drive their companies forward and inspire others,” Mark Palmer, editor-in-chief of CEO Today, said.
Other award winners included Rene Buck of BCI Global, Caroline Spivak of Profile Communications Corp., and Pamela Hackett of Proudfoot.
Bowen founded Maine Pointe in 2004 with several long-time colleagues, having previously served as president and CEO of operations consultancy Alaris Consulting. Since then, Boston-headquartered Maine Pointe has grown rapidly, supporting clients across chemical, oil and gas, mining, food processing, and service, hospitality, and private equity. The firm’s geographical footprint has grown to encompass North America, Europe, and Asia, with engagements in Central and South America, as well.
Bowen has over 30 years of P&L experience, building up a strong track record in supply chain optimization, and working with leading Fortune 1000 and mid-market organizations. He is widely known for his deep operations insights and ability to deliver substantial increases in EBITDA to clients.
Bowen’s 2017 book, “Total Value Optimization: Transforming Your Global Supply Chain into a Competitive,” outlines the methodology at the core of his successful consultancy. TVO focuses on dynamically anticipating and meeting demand by synchronizing the buy-make-move-fulfill supply chain to deliver the greatest value to customers and stakeholders, at the lowest cost to business.
Bowen is a frequently sought-out industry expert, providing supply chain insights on Forbes (where he is a member of the publication’s Business Council), TD Ameritrade’s Market on Close show, and Supply Chain Management Review.
“I am pleased to accept CEO Today’s recognition, an award that continues to highlight not just myself and Maine Pointe, but also the transformative power of Total Value Optimization to companies seeking to optimize their global supply chains,” Bowen said. “Congratulations are also in order to the entire Maine Pointe team, which has contributed their own leadership, insights and guidance to help deliver value to our clients and who have made this award possible.”
Earlier this year, Bowen also received a Global Leaders in Consulting award from Consulting Magazine.
