Milliman names Garry Simmons as director of business development

Consulting and actuarial firm Milliman has hired Garry Simmons as director of business development for health and group benefits consulting services. His duties will include providing employee benefit consulting, data analytics, and actuarial expertise to large businesses. 

"Garry will represent Milliman's diverse expertise to group benefit clients looking for fresh, independent, and innovative perspectives," Jeff Budin, director of Milliman’s global employee benefits practice, said. "Milliman already has a strong presence with middle- and large-market employers, and Garry's work will deepen and expand that foothold.”  

Prior to joining Milliman, Simmons served for nearly 12 years as Aon’s senior vice president and health solutions sales leader. He also spent more than 10 years at Cigna Healthcare, first as a new business manager, then as vice president of sales for the North Carolina office. Simmons has also worked as a consultant at Willis Towers Watson, and a senior account executive at United Healthcare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and economics from Illinois State University.
