Milliman Inc. expands Indianapolis presence
Milliman Inc., a global actuarial and consulting firm, has announced plans to create nearly 100 new jobs in Indianapolis over the next four years.
The Seattle-based firm, which has approximately 4,000 employees globally, will now occupy a 50,000 square-foot office space in the Market Tower building in downtown Indianapolis.
Milliman previously invested $7.2 million in 2012 and 2017 to add more than 50 new jobs in Indianapolis. The firm currently has 163 employees in Indiana.
The company will receive up to $1.9 million in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants from the State of Indiana based on its hiring plan of 95 new jobs by 2025.Milliman said the expansion will help it keep pace with demand from clients in health care, insurance, and pharmaceuticals. The company will look to hire actuarial, pharmaceutical, and health care policy specialists.
Founded in 1947, Milliman is a consulting firm specializing in risk management and retirement & benefits. The firm has practices across employee benefits, healthcare, insurance, and investment, and works with business, financial, government, union, education, and nonprofit organizations.
Milliman also conducts research, including several widely cited indices.
