Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm, has launched its “Teneo Performance” business – which will help CEOs improve company performance through effective organizational change.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many organizations to alter their business models, change their ways of working, and focus more attention on diversity and corporate purpose.

“The past 12 months have accelerated so many important trends for companies – digitization, alignment with purpose, diversity & inclusion, focus on employee mental wellness – that leaders need a more comprehensive approach to attaining high performance based on directly relevant experiences across multiple situations,” said Chris Wearing, chairman of Teneo International.

Responding to this pressing organizational need, the New York-based management consultancy has launched an offering that will help clients improve performance with experiential programs and organizational changes built around new norms in hybrid working, diversity and inclusion (D&I), and corporate purpose and sustainability.

Teneo Performance’s interactive development programs and experiential content – including in-person and virtual workshops – will address organizational needs in corporate purpose development, culture transformation, D&I, and talent strategy, among other areas.

“Now is the right time to launch Teneo Performance as the world returns to the workplace and CEOs will need to find new ways to engage and motivate themselves, their teams and their organizations to be successful in what we call the ‘New Different’ global operating environment,” said Declan Kelly, CEO of Teneo.

The new business line will be led by Chris Wearing, and will initially launch in Ireland to support domestic and multinational corporations. The Irish business will be led by vice chairman Liam Sheedy, and will include senior leaders James Bowen and Brian MacNeice, who joined Teneo last year via the acquisition of Kotinos Partners, a boutique organizational performance consulting firm.

“We are delighted to be starting this business with a great team in Ireland and look forward to expanding it to be of a global scale over the coming weeks and months to help our clients around the world,” Kelly added.

The launch will expand the firm’s range of service offerings, which includes strategic communications, financial and risk advisory, restructuring, digital, and talent advisory. Teneo has approximately 850 employees across 21 offices in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

The firm recently acquired a minority stake in WestExec Advisors, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm specializing in political risk. Teneo earlier this month also opened a new office in Paris.
