3Cloud acquires Microsoft data specialist BlueGranite
3Cloud, a Chicago-based Microsoft Azure consultancy, has acquired BlueGranite, a Portage, MI-based consulting firm focusing on data and analytics in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Founded in 1996, BlueGranite is a national Microsoft partner that offers strategic program-level consulting services from planning to adoption of Azure data platform and analytics solutions.
The firm’s more than 80 professionals support mid-sized and large organizations in financial services, retail and consumer, manufacturing, health and life sciences, education, and government. BlueGranite was a finalist for Microsoft 2021 Global Partner of Year in the Power BI category.
3Cloud’s acquisition of BlueGranite will grow its team to more than 700 full-time Azure experts in the United States.

The deal follows 3Cloud’s acquisition of Azure data specialists CCG Analytics and Pragamatic Works Consulting in 2021 and 2020, respectively.

3Cloud became a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors in June 2020 when the San Francisco-based private equity firm bought a majority stake. The IT consultancy has offices in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Jacksonville, and was recently awarded four Worldwide and two US Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards.
