SGS Maine Pointe welcomes managing director Sheehan Gallagher
SGS Maine Pointe, a supply chain and operations consulting firm, has hired Sheehan Gallagher as managing director for its energy consulting practice.
Gallagher will oversee the energy practice’s business development and account management, solutions, and service delivery, and will focus on expanding SGS Maine Pointe’s client base in upstream oil & gas and oilfield services.
He brings 22 years of consulting and industry experience in the global energy industry. Gallagher previously spent two years as senior director of energy consulting at Wood Mackenzie, a research and consulting group specializing in energy and mining.
Before that, he spent 20 years at BP, where he held various procurement and supply chain leadership roles – including supply chain director for Alaska, head of supply chain for Iraq, and strategic procurement manager for North Africa.
Gallagher has an MBA from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Michigan State University.
“I am looking forward to bringing my deep industry and supply chain experience to SGS Maine Pointe’s clients and working with them to achieve their most ambitious goals and deliver dramatic improvements,” Gallagher said.

The practice’s focus areas include digital transformation, energy transition, energy procurement, oil & gas, and generation, transmission, and distribution.
“We are very pleased to have Sheehan on board, and are anxious to take full advantage of his deep level of insight and practical experience in the energy industry,” said Steve Ottley, head of chemicals and energy at SGS Maine Pointe.
