CrossCountry Consulting adds Skip Braun and Michael Portegello to advisory council
CrossCountry Consulting, a McLean, VA-based management consultancy, has appointed two New York-based members to its advisory council: Skip Braun, a former senior advisory partner at Grant Thornton, and Michael Portegello, a former senior assurance partner and growth markets leader at EY.
Braun and Portegello will play a key role in guiding CrossCountry’s growth strategy in the New York market, which the firm said is a strategic priority.
Braun is a finance and accounting expert with over four decades of experience advising public and private companies on areas including IPOs, registration statements, and public filings.
Portegello has over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, and capital market transactions, and has led advisory engagements with organizations across various sectors.
“We are thrilled to welcome Skip and Michael to our growing Advisory Council,” said Erik Linn, co-founder and managing partner at CrossCountry Consulting. “Their experience, reputation, and extensive relationships across the market will be invaluable as we continue to grow our New York practice.”
CrossCountry was founded in 2011 and has grown to seven offices in the United States, as well as international locations in Canada, Ireland, South Africa, and the Philippines. The firm has over 1,000 employees, according to LinkedIn.
The firm provides CFOs, CIOs, other corporate functional leaders, and private equity clients with services in accounting advisory, business transformation, corporate transactions, risk and compliance, technology, cybersecurity, and data and analytics.
“New York has a tradition of producing market-leading companies and I’m excited to join such a dynamic, innovative firm that is committed to providing best-in-class advisory services to its clients,” said Portegello.
Braun added, “I look forward to supporting the firm and helping to continue to grow its presence in the New York market across the financial services industry.”
CrossCountry earlier this year welcomed Laura Adams as head of its government contracting industry practice.
