CRA adds Marti Murray to finance practice

Charles River Associates (CRA), a Boston-based management consulting firm, has welcomed Marti Murray to its finance practice in New York as a senior consultant.
Joining the practice in an exclusive affiliation, Murray will provide consulting and testifying expert services on matters involving corporate financial litigation.
She brings more than 40 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring advisory, corporate credit, distressed debt, investment advisory, and commercial and SEC-related litigation support, as well as industry custom and practice for investment advisers, hedge funds, and private equity.
Murray currently leads her boutique consultancy Murray Analytics, which provides financial advisory and valuation services.
She was previously a partner at Bates White Economic Consulting and a principal at The Brattle Group.
Between 1995 and 2008, she led Murray Capital Management, a distressed debt manager. She sold the firm to Babson Capital Management (part of MassMutual) in 2008.
Between 2005 and 2013, Murray was an adjunct professor at her alma mater the NYU Stern School of Business, where she taught courses in bankruptcy, distressed debt investing, and equity analysis and valuation.
Earlier in her career, Murray was a senior managing director at Furman Selz and an SVP at Oppenheimer & Co.
She has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University, and is a certified fraud examiner and certified valuation analyst.
“Marti has an impressive track record of advising clients on issues related to financial distress, business and securities valuation, solvency, and fraud,” said Mukarram Attari, co-leader of CRA’s finance practice. “We look forward to working with her.”
CRA was founded in 1965 and has over 1,000 consultants across 20+ global offices. The firm focuses on litigation, regulatory, financial, and management consulting.
CRA recently welcomed Christopher Palmer as a senior consultant in its finance practice.
