Huron buys strategy and operations consultancy Wilson Perumal & Company
Huron, a Chicago-headquartered management consulting firm, has acquired Wilson Perumal & Company (WP&C), a Dallas-based strategy and operations consulting firm.
Founded in 2009, WP&C provides services in growth strategy, cost reduction, profitability, operational model redesign, operational excellence, and change management, among other areas. The firm works with clients in industrials and manufacturing, energy and utilities, consumer products, private equity, and the public sector.
As part of the acquisition, approximately 30 WP&C team members will join Huron’s Innosight team. Huron acquired Innosight, a Boston-based growth strategy consulting firm, in 2017 for $100 million.
“By combining WP&C’s proven expertise in reducing complexity, operationalizing strategy, and transforming operations with our Innosight team’s deep strategy and business transformation expertise, we are well positioned to help clients navigate the disruption in today’s rapidly changing market environment while preparing for a more resilient future,” said Mark Hussey, CEO and president of Huron.
Huron earlier this summer acquired Treliant, a Washington, DC-headquartered financial services industry consulting firm with 250+ employees.
“Our organizations share a fundamental belief that reducing complexity is a strategic imperative,” said Stephen Wilson, managing partner and co-founder of WP&C. "With Huron’s global scale and reach, we can bring our methodologies to more clients than ever before.”
Huron provides strategy, operations, and digital transformation consulting services to clients in healthcare and life sciences, education, public sector, financial services, energy, and manufacturing.
The public company has 6,500 employees across 20+ offices in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
