Riveron acquires risk and compliance firm Eden Data
Riveron, a Dallas-based business advisory firm, has acquired Eden Data, an Austin-based cybersecurity and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) advisory firm.
Founded in 2021, Eden Data has nearly 60 professionals delivering expertise in GRC, technology, and cybersecurity to clients across industries. The boutique firm specializes in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI – helping business prepare for audits and IPOs.
Eden Data’s team has built security, compliance, and privacy programs for 500+ brands.
Riveron’s acquisition of Eden Data will significantly expand the scope and depth of its risk advisory practice, the firm said in a press release.
“This partnership is a game-changer for the clients we serve through our growing Risk Advisory team,” said Sam Shaw, CEO of Riveron. “Eden Data brings in-demand cyber, compliance, and AI risk expertise that perfectly complements our SOX, internal audit, and enterprise risk services. Together, we’re building a one-stop shop for our clients to help them address today’s most pressing risk management challenges.”
Riveron last year acquired Effectus Group, a San Jose-based accounting advisory and financial operations firm, and Yantra, a Santa Clara, CA-based IT consulting firm.
Riveron was in 2023 acquired by private equity firm Kohlberg & Company from prior owner H.I.G. Capital, which retains a minority stake in the consultancy.
“Our professionals are looking forward to delivering a broader, more comprehensive solution set as part of Riveron,” said Taylor Hersom, founder of Eden Data, who will continue to lead his team.
Riveron was founded in 2006 and has over 1,200 professionals across 18 offices in the US, Canada, and India. The firm works with CFOs and private equity firms on areas including accounting, ESG, finance, M&A, operations, restructuring & turnaround, strategic communications, tax, and technology.
