Charles River Associates hires Patricia Thomas as VP in forensics practice
Charles River Associates (CRA), a Boston-headquartered management consultancy, has hired Patricia Thomas as a vice president in its forensic services practice.
Based in Chicago, Thomas has 15 years of experience supporting corporate clients and law firms with compliance, investigations, and litigation matters. She has led global investigations, compliance assessments, and anti-corruption engagements, and has served as an expert witness and presented to numerous government agencies.
Thomas joins CRA from KPMG US, where she spent the last 15 years in the risk consulting business, latterly as a managing director. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified fraud examiner (CFE).
“Patricia has been recognized for her significant contributions to the industry in the areas of multi-jurisdictional investigations and compliance risk services,” said Kristofer Swanson, forensic services practice leader, Charles River Associates. “We look forward to working with Patricia to address our clients’ most complex investigative needs and to enhancing our focus on corporate compliance risk.”
CRA’s forensic practice helps clients respond to allegations of fraud, abuse, misconduct, cybercrime, and non-compliance.
“Patricia will join a diverse team of seasoned professionals skilled at delivering forensic services in a wide variety of contexts, including independent investigations, commercial litigation, in response to a regulatory inquiry, international arbitration, or white-collar defense matters,” said Paul Maleh, president and CEO of Charles River Associates.
Founded in 1965, CRA advises clients on business strategy, performance, and economic and financial matters pertaining to litigation and regulatory proceedings. The firm has more than 800 professionals across the Americas, Europe, and Australia.
The consultancy last month appointed Alva Taylor to its board of directors.
