Peyman Tabatabaei has joined the forensic technical services practice of HKA, a global risk and disputes advisory firm, as a director based in Los Angeles.

Tabatabaei brings 20+ years of civil and geotechnical engineering experience to HKA, where he will evaluate geotechnical engineering issues and provide expert opinions on factors leading to deficiency or failure.

He has worked on a range of projects in infrastructure, residential and commercial developments, transportation, and roads, and has completed geotechnical investigation reports and liquefication analyses, slope stability modeling, and deformation analyses for large infrastructure projects.

Tabatabaei joins HKA from Kleinfelder, where he was a principal geotechnical engineer. Before that, he was a senior geotechnical engineer at SNC-Lavalin and Fluor Corporation, and a project geotechnical engineer at E2K Engineering.

Tabatabaei added, “I am thrilled to embark on this journey with HKA. Joining this innovative team is not just a career move; it’s a step into a world of exciting challenges, endless possibilities, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge solutions.”

HKA earlier this month welcomed Maria Tsennykh as a New York-based principal in its forensic accounting and commercial damages (FACD) practice.
