West Monroe appoints Chuck Kirchner as Chicago office head
West Monroe, a management and technology consulting firm, has appointed Chuck Kirchner as leader of its Chicago headquarters, effective July 1.
Kirchner, a senior partner in the technology & experience practice who has been with the firm since 2016, will oversee West Monroe’s largest market by employee headcount. He will lead client and development efforts, community involvement, and market presence, among other areas.
"Chuck has demonstrated exceptional leadership with our clients and people. His commitment to excellence and engagement with the broader civic community—both trademarks of a West Monroe leader—make him the ideal person to lead the Chicago market," said Gil Mermelstein, president, West Monroe.
Kirchner has over 30 years of technology consulting experience, having led numerous IT, security, and cloud transformation projects for mid-market and Fortune 1000 clients.
Prior to joining West Monroe, he spent nearly 14 years at Fortsythe Technology (now Sirius), where he was vice president of consulting. He began his career at Accenture, where he spent a decade and was latterly a senior manager.
Kirchner has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
“I am honored to lead West Monroe in Chicago, a city I've called home for my entire professional career, and one that has strong technology roots and opportunities," Kirchner said. "I firmly believe that West Monroe has a unique place in Chicago's economy with our roots in tech, our mission to build the next generation of leaders, and our proven ability to drive value for companies in traditional and highly regulated industries.”
West Monroe in May appointed Mermelstein as president and in June named Dan Freiman as chief financial officer.
The firm has 2,250 employees across 10 offices in the US, UK, and Costa Rica.
