West Monroe hires Accenture exec Harin Shetty as president

West Monroe, a management and technology consulting firm, has hired Harin Shetty as president and board member.

Based in West Monroe’s headquarters, Shetty brings over two decades of consulting leadership experience across Accenture, IBM, and BearingPoint.

Shetty will report to recently appointed CEO Gil Mermelstein, who previously served as president. Mermelstein on July 1 succeeded West Monroe co-founder Kevin McCarty, who served as CEO since 2014.

BDT & MSD Partners in 2021 acquired a 50% stake in West Monroe.

In his new role, Shetty will focus on helping client-facing teams grow, innovate, and rethink work processes.

“I’m excited to collaborate with our teams and tap into the firm’s strengths to help clients tackle what’s next—from rethinking operating models to embracing AI, modernizing technology, and finding new paths to growth,” Shetty said.

Shetty most recently spent 15 years with Accenture, where he was Americas leader of the supply chain and Industry X business. Before that, he was a partner in the supply chain practice of IBM Consulting and a managing director at BearingPoint/KPMG.

Shetty has a master’s degree in management information systems from Northern Illinois University.

West Monroe has 2,250 people across offices in the US, Costa Rica, and the UK. The firm’s practices include business operations, M&A, organization and people, customer engagement, product and experiences, and data and technology.
