West Monroe promotes seven to managing director

West Monroe, a national business and technology consulting firm, has appointed seven new managing directors.

The leadership additions are part of the firm’s preparations for significant growth in the next several years.

“Continuous expansion of our leadership structure and team is essential if we are to achieve our ambitious plan to more than double revenue by 2025. But this isn’t just about growth. It is also central to our mission to build the next generation of leaders,” said Doug Armstrong, West Monroe’s chief operating officer.

Saurabh Bansal (Dallas) works with energy and utility clients on strategy and performance improvement engagements. He has more than 20 years of experience in operations, IT, project management, and lean. Bansal joined West Monroe in 2015, and was previously a director at power company NRG and a management consultant at Alvarez & Marsal.

Jason Cutler (Chicago) is a Salesforce expert who works with clients to develop customer management strategy and drive improvement through technology solutions. He has led numerous transformation initiatives for organizations across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology.

He joined West Monroe in 2015 when it acquired consultancy Etherios, where he was managing principal consultant. He was also previously director of strategic planning and business intelligence at BMC Group, a provider of information management solutions.

Sam Dawes (Minneapolis) helps consumer and industrial products firms implement digital solutions that drive operational excellence. He also works with manufacturers to address workforce challenges, such as attracting and retaining talent.

Dawes has been at West Monroe since 2011, and has played a key role in growing the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Michael Guckian (Los Angeles) helps financial services companies enhance performance with technology solutions such as loan origination systems, card conversions, call center buildouts, and mobile banking platforms. Prior to joining West Monroe in 2014, Guckian was a senior consultant in Booz Allen’s strategic innovation group and a senior policy analyst at Freddie Mac.

Andy Johnson (Minneapolis) supports private equity clients throughout the deal lifecycle, including assessing targets, leading integration offices, and increasing value in portfolio companies. Johnson has project experience across a range of industries. Prior to joining West Monroe in 2014, he was a senior consultant at Deloitte and a consultant at Accenture.

Chris Stafford (Chicago) is leader in the mergers and acquisitions practice, focusing on software and tech-enabled services companies. He has advised private equity firms and management teams on more than 300 transactions. Stafford joined West Monroe in 2008.

Sam Uyeno (Los Angeles) advises energy and utility companies on the West Coast. Prior to joining West Monroe in 2015, he was a senior manager at electric utility Southern California Edison. Earlier in his career, Uyeno led a 50-person combat engineer team in the US Navy Reserve, directing facility construction efforts in Southern Afghanistan. Before that, he was a submarine officer in the US Navy.
