Sikich acquires Chicago-based Accelerated Growth
Sikich, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Accelerated Growth, a Chicago-headquartered accounting, finance, and technology consultancy.
Founded in 2009, Accelerated Growth helps entrepreneurial organizations optimize and execute their accounting, finance, and technology functions. The firm provides services in managed accounting, finance transformation, technology and data, training and development, and board advisory.
Accelerated growth has worked with more than 300 companies in various stages of growth, including startups, middle market firms, and the venture divisions of Fortune 500s. The consultancy has offices in Chicago, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad, India.
As part of the transaction, 120 Accelerated Growth employees will join Sikich, including 500 in the US and 70 in India. The Chicago-based employees will join Sikich’s downtown Chicago office.
The acquisition is scheduled to close on November 30.
“This expansion gives us a platform to continue to grow our outsourced accounting and international operations," said Chris Geier, CEO of Sikich. "Adding the Accelerated Growth team strengthens our firm's capabilities and enhances the foundation for us to scale our service offerings to our clients."
Sikich a year ago acquired PA Group USA, an IT consultancy specializing in Microsoft Dynamics implementations.
"Joining Sikich will provide our team with unmatched opportunities for growth and learning. The partnership also gives our clients access to a highly talented group of technology-enabled experts who can support them as their needs evolve,” said Bobby Achettu, founder and CEO of Accelerated Growth. Achettu founded his consultancy after working as a senior advisor in strategic advisory services at PwC US and as a senior consultant in process optimization at Grant Thornton US.
Sikich is headquartered in Naperville, IL and has more than 1,400 people across 17 offices coast-to-coast. The firm is the 28th largest CPA firm in the US, according to Inside Public Accounting, with $228.6 million in annual revenue.
