North Highland acquires strategic portfolio management software firm UMT360
North Highland, an Atlanta-headquartered management consulting firm, has acquired UMT360, a Bellevue, WA-based provider of software and services in strategic portfolio management.
Strategic portfolio management (SPM) is a framework for planning, funding, and overseeing all discretionary investments – combining strategy execution management with business and enterprise architecture to help organizations connect and align all execution with strategy.
UMT360’s SPM software helps organizations plan and manage their work and drive business agility. Its features include: standardizing demand and innovation management; resource capacity planning; benefits and outcome management; roadmapping and release management; and what-if scenario modeling.
UMT360’s software was part of Gartner’s first-ever Magic Quadrant for SPM, which released this year.
The company also provides related consulting services in work management consulting and transformation office/project management office optimization.
UMT360 has 160 employees listed on LinkedIn and has offices in Bellevue, Vancouver, and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
North Highland’s acquisition of UMT360 will deepen its enterprise transformation capabilities and business agility solutions.
“North Highland and UMT360 share a common goal of helping clients navigate complex transformation,” said Alex Bombeck, CEO of North Highland. “The integration of this unique platform into our offerings means we can help organizations more effectively achieve business agility to help them achieve their goals.”
North Highland delivers consulting in strategy, process and business analysis, program and project management, change management, technology, and data and analytics. The firm has more than 1,800 employees, according to LinkedIn, and has 16 offices in the US as well as international locations in London and Manchester, UK.
“Our unique platform represents the intersection between business strategy execution and business enterprise architecture capabilities, enabling an organization to build a dynamic blueprint of their operations,” said Catalin Olteanu, CEO of UMT360. “We’re excited to combine our software and services with North Highland’s scale, and work together to better serve our clients.”
