Spokane County taps Guidehouse for Workday implementation
Spokane County, WA has awarded Guidehouse, a McLean, VA-based management and technology consultancy, a contract to implement the Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform.
Under the contract, Guidehouse will help the county transition multiple legacy financial and human capital management (HCM) systems to Workday, redesign and improve business processes, decentralize data entry, and expand business intelligence capabilities to provide real-time dashboards.
Spokane County is the fourth-most populous county in Washington, with 539,339 as of 2022. It contains Spokane, the state’s second-largest city.
“Consolidating multiple systems and processes into Workday will simplify the data we use to run our organization and provide an enhanced infrastructure for critical operational functions to allow us to continuously support and evolve our employee, stakeholder, and constituent experiences," said Ashley Cameron, senior director of Spokane County.
Workday is the most popular software for HCM and payroll, holding a 12.8% of the market according to a 2022 report from IDC. The next most popular platforms are UKG (8.7%), SAP (8.4%), ADP (7.8%), and Oracle (5.4%).
Guidehouse is a Workday services partner. The firm says its understanding of the public sector, management consulting techniques, and Workday’s deployment methodology help ensure seamless system transformation.

The Veritas Capital-backed firm is primarily composed of the former PwC US public sector practice and Navigant. The firm also recently absorbed Grant Thornton’s public sector practice.
