RSM acquires Salesforce consultancy MondayCall
RSM US has acquired MondayCall, a San Francisco-based provider of consulting services for Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) software.
MondayCall was founded in 2010, and has since worked on nearly 2,000 Salesforce projects with clients in a wide range of industries. Its location in San Francisco, however, means that the company has supported a large number of top-flight tech firms, including Google, Slack, Zoom, and Pinterest.
MondayCall’s team of more than 20 professionals help clients with Salesforce-related implementation, custom development, integration, data migration, optimization, business process, change management, and managed services. The company is a Salesforce Gold Partner.
RSM’s acquisition of MondayCall will boost the firm’s Salesforce practice, as demand for consulting services for the platform continue to grow. Salesforce is the leading platform in the CRM market, holding a 19.8% share in 2020, according to IDC. Its nearest competitor is Oracle, at 5.3%, followed by SAP at 4.8%.
Boutique Salesforce consulting firms have been a hot commodity for large consultancies as they seek to scale up their offering in the area. Acquisitions in the space in the last three months include PK’s purchase of Nuvem Consulting, Huron’s purchase of ForceIQ, and Atos’ acquisition of Eagle Creek.
Brian Becker, consulting leader for RSM US, said, “This is a strategic step that leverages the solid foundation our RSM Salesforce team has built and sets the stage for the additional investment we are eager to make in this service line.”
Managing directors Chris Zak and Andy Yang will join RSM as consulting principals. The MondayCall team will eventually transition to RSM’s downtown San Francisco office.
“RSM’s investment in our team is an investment in the services we can help provide its clients,” Zak said. “At the same time, we are pleased to continue serving our MondayCall clients, but now with the added world-class services and resources RSM offers, including a full spectrum of consulting services, as well as audit and tax services.”
RSM US is the fifth-largest accounting and consulting firm in the United States, with $2.44 billion in revenue in 2019. The company has approximately 10,000 employees across more than 80 offices in the country.
The firm last month sold its New Bern and Morehead City, North Carolina offices to PBMares, a Mid-Atlantic region accounting and consulting firm.
