Arkad SpA selects PwC for digital procurement transformation
Arkad SpA, an Italy-based oil services firm, has tapped consulting firm PwC to implement software firm Ivalua’s digital procurement solution.
Headquartered in Milan and with regional hubs in the Middle East and North Africa, Arkad SpA offers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to clients in the oil and gas sector. The firm has more than 50 years of experience working on lump-sum, turnkey projects in upstream and midstream fields, and has completed more than 300 projects in 30+ countries.
The company is part of Arkad Group, the largest Saudi-owned oil and gas services company.
The firm tapped PwC to implement Ivalua’s supplier management module in December 2020, and is now in the go-live stage of the sourcing module.
Silicon Valley-based Ivalua delivers a popular spend management product that helps companies easily track all spending and suppliers on a single platform. Ivalua’s cloud software is used by over 300 companies to manage more than half a trillion dollars in direct and indirect spend.
Arkad SpA can now more easily select best-in-class suppliers as well as create, manage, and execute its sourcing strategy with optimal supplier agreements, according to a release from Ivalua.
PwC leveraged its deep oil and gas industry expertise, as well as its in-depth knowledge of the Ivalua platform in the engagement. Aside from supporting client implementations of the spend management solution, the consulting firm also recently adopted Ivalua in its Italy procurement operations.
“We do what we sell and we sell what we do," said Francesco Bandolin, digital procurement director at PwC.
Marco Del Giaccio, head of procurement and supply chain at Arkad SpA, added, "Implementing the Ivalua suite is empowering us to spearhead our digital way of working. This application helped us harmonize the requirements for all of our sourcing activities globally, drive compliance throughout our supplier management system, and optimize savings from RFx and auctions.”
