West Monroe has appointed two of its executives to the newly created roles of chief revenue officer and chief commercial officer. Tom Ewers will become the management and technology consultancy’s chief revenue officer and Casey Foss will become chief commercial officer, effective January 2, 2022.

The Chicago-based firm has had a busy last few months. West Monroe in September announced it was investing $250 million into expanding its digital consulting, including the creation of global product development unit. The firm subsequently acquired product development firms Verys and Carbon Five.

West Monroe sold a 50% ownership stake to MSD Partners in October in a bid to further accelerate its digital pivot and growth trajectory. The consultancy, which has 2,000 employees, is projecting revenue of $550 million for 2021 and wants to be a $1 billion company by 2025.

West Monroe has expanded its C-suite amid these exciting corporate developments. The new CRO and CCO roles will be supported by new teams and functions as the firm continues investing in multidisciplinary offerings and scaling revenue generation processes, according to a press release.

As CRO, Tom Ewers will focus on streamlining and fortifying revenue generation activities across the firm – including sales, client service, delivery, and quality.

Ewers currently leads West Monroe’s Central region and its Minneapolis office. He joined the firm in 2002 from Arthur Andersen, where he had been a consultant in the advanced technology group. Ewers in 2013 launched the consultancy’s Minneapolis office and previously served as a managing director in West Monroe’s M&A and consumer & industrial practices.

As CCO, Casey Foss will be responsible for driving new growth, with priorities in repeatable methodologies and approaches to client issues, market intelligence to meet client needs, and digital training and development for West Monroe consultants.

Foss joined West Monroe in 2008 and has led the firm’s marketing function for the last decade. As she moves on from her previous role as chief marketing officer, the company will be looking to recruit a new marketing head with experience building a global brand presence.

“These new roles and appointments ensure we have the right leadership focus and dedicated resources in place to orchestrate our strategy as we grow,” said Kevin McCarty, West Monroe’s chairman and CEO. “They reflect the significant contributions Casey Foss and Tom Ewers have made over many years. We are excited not only for their growth in these new roles, but for the focus and energy this will bring in areas critical to our clients and business.”
