Sikich buys CPA firm Saggar & Rosenberg
Sikich, a Chicago-headquartered accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Saggar & Rosenberg, a Rockville, MD-based full-service CPA firm.
Founded in 1999, Saggar & Rosenberg provides accounting, audit, tax, and consulting services to government contractors, federal agencies, non-profits, and real estate firms.
The firm’s consulting offerings include strategy, M&A, valuation, operational assessment, CFO services, succession planning, and litigation support.
Saggar & Rosenberg has 50 employees listed on LinkedIn.
“Over the years, Saggar & Rosenberg has experienced significant growth serving a wide range of sophisticated clients who are demanding an increasing set of diverse services. We want to support those clients with a broader set of offerings as they navigate change and do so in a way that ensures the excellent service they’ve come to expect from us,” said Sandy Saggar, founder and CEO of Saggar & Rosenberg.
Sikich earlier this year received a $250 million minority investment from private equity firm Bain Capital. Since 2017, the accountancy has seen revenue growth of nearly 300% and expanded its geographic reach to all major US markets with a headcount of nearly 2,000 people.
“Over the last 25 years Sandy Saggar has built an impressive company that dovetails nicely with our own offerings and specialized services to non-profits and the government sector, where we have a strong presence,” said Antony Nettleton, co-managing principal, Sikich. “We look forward to leveraging the expertise of his team, who are delivering comprehensive, enterprise-wide financial solutions to clients across the country.”
Sikich’s acquisitions in the last two years include Golden Trail Advisers, Vonya Global, and Accelerated Growth.
